In the prior episode, I gave you the map — the Inner Room in the Third Heaven, the Storehouse in the Second Heaven, the human spirit designed for movement through the heavens. Today we take the first step. Not toward more theology, but toward the Inner Room itself.
The Anglican liturgy used for the Lord’s Supper has this wonderful phrase: “Feed on him in your heart by faith with thanksgiving.” Few who repeat this phrase realize that the “heart” referenced here—that place of feeding… that place of faith—is synonymous with the Inner Room, and even fewer ever take that call to enter earnestly. It’s just a passing phrase describing the Eucharist… nothing more.
The Inner Room is real. If you are ready, it’s time to find that place referred to as the “heart” and enter it that we might feed on him indeed. Today, I introduce one means of accessing that secret chamber within. Your expectations should be high: Christ is there, He is waiting for you, and He has something to say. Remember, the conversation has two sides… the idea that God is silent didn’t originate with God.
Listen now!
Peace & Grace,
Pastor Scot
